Craig & Victoria’s Naperville Kitchen Remodel
Project Details
The spark that flamed this kitchen remodel was actually an upcoming wedding! Since there were going to be a lot of family members gathering for this festive occasion, Victoria and Craig thought this kitchen needed a refresher beforehand. There was a lot of thought given to the layout of the kitchen, as we wanted to maximize the space best we could. Some of the biggest considerations were where to install an open area to display heirloom dishware, a large island for seating and preparation, and organized storage within the cabinetry. The homeowners were looking for an alternative to traditional pantry cabinets and a way to actually hide their microwave; we accomplished this by increasing the wall cabinet on the end to 18” to hold the microwave and maintain depth for pantry items. Furthermore, we removed the lighted soffits to allow taller wall cabinetry. The addition of can lights throughout the kitchen, as well as a new chandelier over the table, really brightened and beautified the space. Our favorite part is the tile, which was handmade in a delicate blue hue, which is actually one of these clients’ favorite colors!
