Sebring Design Build remodeled this Brentwood, Tennessee kitchen with a modern-coastal aesthetic that balances a two-tone cabinetry system against warm wood accents, Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo countertops, and curated matte black and brushed gold hardware. The result is a kitchen that feels simultaneously calm, current, and built to last.

The Story
About This Project
The homeowners in Brentwood came to Sebring Design Build with a clear design direction: modern-coastal. Light, calm, and refined, but with enough contrast and material warmth to feel genuinely current rather than simply neutral. The existing kitchen was functional but lacked any design point of view worth keeping.
The scope covered a full kitchen transformation: cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, fixtures, and hardware. Every selection was made to serve the modern-coastal brief while delivering the quality and durability that a space used every day demands. A two-tone cabinetry system, warm wood accents, and a carefully curated hardware and fixture program were the foundation of the design.

A Home Made New
The Brentwood kitchen that came to Sebring Design Build had done its job honestly for years. The layout was workable. The footprint was generous. What it had never had was a design identity strong enough to match the home it served.
The modern-coastal direction took shape around a single organizing idea: light and dark in deliberate conversation. Soft White paint-grade cabinetry on the wall cabinets keeps the upper portion of the room open and luminous. Midnight cabinetry on the base and island grounds the room without weighing it down. Between those two tones, every material decision was made to hold that tension comfortably.
Alder cabinetry in Tatami on the fridge wall and hood ribbon introduces natural wood warmth at the room's focal point, giving the space the organic quality that separates a modern-coastal kitchen from a merely modern one. The coastal sensibility lives in that warmth, in the light palette above, and in the ease the room communicates from the moment you walk into it.
Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo in a polished finish provides the countertop surface: refined, consistent, and visually quiet enough to let the two-tone cabinetry carry the room. Epic Apuano porcelain tile in a 3 x 12 field format with a polished finish and Mapei Avalanche grout completes the backsplash with a crisp, clean surface that expands the sense of light without demanding attention.
Hardware was selected as a system. Berenson Subtle Surge pulls in Modern Brushed Gold introduce warmth and metallic presence against the Midnight base cabinetry. The Moen Sleek faucet in Matte Black and Kohler Buckley single bowl sink anchor the workspace with a finish that reads as intentional rather than merely trendy. The result is a kitchen that makes the most important room in the home feel worthy of it.
