A Home Made New
The existing kitchen carried the weight of convention, familiar in form but constrained by its own era. The remodel began with light: how to invite it in, how to make it stay. Warm whites took over the perimeter and Urban Bronze grounded the island, giving the space an airy, fresh quality that reads as restful rather than stark. A grand island became the room's anchor, organizing the workflow while inviting people to gather. Refined countertops and strategic lighting complete the picture, a kitchen that respects its traditional bones while fully belonging to the way a family lives today.

Common Questions
Questions Homeowners Ask About This Project
What was the design goal for this kitchen's island?
A dated kitchen was transformed into something luminous, with a grand island introduced to anchor the space in both function and style. A palette of warm whites and Urban Bronze opens the room to light, while refined countertops honor classic character while serving contemporary living.
Why choose the island top and cabinetry together?
Because the island is where the materials meet. Here the Urban Bronze island cabinetry, the end-grain Black Walnut top and the Calacatta Aria perimeter quartz were selected as one palette, so the island reads as the room's anchor rather than a separate piece. See how the design-build process works.
