About This Project
The goal of this Horseshoe Bend kitchen remodel was to create a space with the warmth and character of a refined Provençal interior while maintaining the functionality expected from a modern family home. Rather than relying on overly ornate details, the design uses a restrained palette of warm ivory cabinetry, natural stone, traditional hardware and classic plumbing fixtures to create an inviting sense of permanence.
The cabinetry provides a traditional foundation for the room. Recessed-panel doors and carefully detailed drawer fronts give the kitchen a classic profile, while the soft ivory finish keeps the overall look light and welcoming. A subtle edge detail adds definition without making the cabinetry feel overly decorative, creating a balance between traditional craftsmanship and a clean, tailored appearance.
The countertops introduce another layer of natural character. Warm, naturally patterned stone provides the foundation, with a traditional ogee edge adding architectural detail along the countertop profile. The combination of soft cabinetry and natural stone creates the layered material palette often associated with refined European kitchens.
