The Story
About This Project
The homeowners in Bonbrook, Brentwood came to Sebring Design Build with a primary bath that had served its purpose for years without ever feeling like the room their home deserved. The aesthetic direction was classic-transitional: the craft and permanence of a traditional bath, resolved through a restrained and current material palette rather than an ornate one. Beaded inset cabinetry, natural marble tile details, and a curated fixture program in Brushed and Satin Nickel were the foundation of the brief.
As soon as I had a meeting with Bryan Sebring and he drew up an initial proposal, I knew I was done shopping for contractors. When you meet someone that you know you can trust implicitly to assist you with major decisions and send you to good suppliers, and whose staff you can trust in your house for 8 weeks without any homeowner supervision, your decision transcends price.

A Home Made New
The Bonbrook primary bath in Brentwood had the bones of a generous room and a design that had never matched the home surrounding it. The brief was clear: classic, composed, and timeless. A bath that a Brentwood home of this quality deserves.
Custom Wood Products cabinetry anchors the room. The vanity is built in painted wood with a Hampton Recessed Square door profile and a 1/8-inch radius edge, finished in Benjamin Moore Shaker Gray. Beaded inset construction places this vanity firmly in classic territory: it is a crafted object, not a production cabinet. The linen cabinet beside it shifts to Walnut with a Flint Hills finish, introducing natural wood grain at the vertical storage element and giving the cabinetry wall two materials that complement rather than compete.
Cambria Ella quartz on the countertop is the room's quietest luxury. Ella's soft white ground with delicate veining sits naturally against Shaker Gray cabinetry and the cool tones of the porcelain tile. The custom 9-inch backsplash with a decorative scallop profile at the top edge gives the countertop a bespoke quality that a standard edge or a simple backsplash cannot achieve. It is exactly the kind of detail that makes a bath look designed rather than assembled.
Daltile Marble Attache Diamond Carrara 12 x 24 satin porcelain covers the walls and floor, providing a continuous, luminous surface that opens the room without demanding attention. The floor rug inset in Silver Shadow Lattice marble from Marble Systems, bordered by a Silver Shadow Honed marble border, brings the most refined material in the room to the floor level, where it is experienced underfoot rather than admired from across the room.
Moen Weymouth shower components in Brushed Nickel and Rohl Viaggio sink faucets in Satin Nickel complete the fixture program, two collections that share a finish family without requiring an identical selection. Top Knobs Oculus hardware in Ash Gray at the vanity and Reeded hardware in Ash Gray at the linen cabinet complete the room at the surfaces touched most frequently. The result is a bath that will feel as considered and composed ten years from now as it does today.
