The Story

About This Project

The Cool Springs primary bath began as a dated, yellow-beige bathroom that had fallen out of step with the rest of the Franklin home. The homeowners wanted brightness and clean architectural lines, with a continuous tile surface throughout rather than an accent wall treatment.

Running the same gloss and polished light grey porcelain tile throughout the room, rather than as an accent, required consistent substrate prep across every wall and floor plane so the continuous surface read as one material rather than patched sections. Matching Chrome fixtures and hardware across two separate product lines needed careful specification to keep the finish consistent.

Sebring Design Build's in-house design and construction team planned the tile program and fixture finish together from the first consultation, replacing the dated yellow-beige palette with the polished room these homeowners wanted.

A Home Made New

The Cool Springs primary bath began as a dated, yellow-beige bathroom that had fallen out of step with the rest of the Franklin home around it. Sebring Design Build's modern-creamy direction replaces that dated warmth with a different kind of warmth entirely: brightness, polish, and clean architectural lines.

Shaker Recessed Square cabinetry in a Dune finish sets a soft, neutral foundation for the room, light enough to read as fresh without tipping into stark white. Metro Quartz Mystique countertops with a Square Edge profile bring quiet movement to the vanity surface, a material choice that photographs beautifully and wears well under daily use.

The fixture and hardware program was built as a single finish decision. Delta Chrome fixtures at the shower and sink pair with Top Knobs hardware in Polished Chrome throughout the cabinetry, giving the room a consistent, reflective brightness that does real work against the gloss and polished light grey 12x24 porcelain tile running through the space. That tile, used throughout rather than as an accent, is what gives the bath its glamorous finish quality: a continuous, luminous surface with nowhere for the old yellow-beige palette to hide.

The bath that replaced the original is exactly what the brief called for: polished, luminous, and genuinely modern, without asking the room to feel cold in the process.

Common Questions

Questions Homeowners Ask About This Project

What did this Cool Springs primary bath look like before the remodel?

The bathroom began as a dated, yellow-beige space that had fallen out of step with the rest of the Franklin home. The homeowners wanted brightness and clean architectural lines, with a continuous tile surface throughout rather than an accent wall treatment.

Why does a continuous tile surface take more planning than an accent wall?

Running the same gloss and polished light grey porcelain tile throughout the room, rather than as an accent, required consistent substrate prep across every wall and floor plane so the surface read as one material rather than patched sections. Matching Chrome fixtures and hardware across two separate product lines also needed careful specification to keep the finish consistent.
