Jessica & Ahren Naperville Kitchen Remodel After Photos

Since there was not enough natural light coming into the original kitchen, it felt very dark and bland. The homeowners wanted to stick with the same layout since it worked nicely for their family, however, they needed more storage in their kitchen. The kitchen does not sit on any exterior walls, therefore, adding two windows coming from the sunroom really helped bring in more natural light into the space, which instantly made the kitchen feel brighter and larger. Using white and light blue cabinets was another way to help not only lighten the space, but the blue cabinets also add more interest and fun! Since the range wall does have a curve, small mosaic hexagons are used for the backsplash so it had some flex to contour with the wall. Taking the cabinets to the ceiling and adding custom full height cabinets helped the homeowners get the extra storage they needed. Brass accents and wood tones on the hood and window openings help add warmth back into the space while still making sure it has a brighter feel.
