This kitchen went through a major transformation. The space was not working for the client. Their existing kitchen was not large enough for their family and guest gatherings. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room, extending the new kitchen into that space. We added and relocated windows to create a focal point around the large range and walnut hood. The tall cabinetry next to the fridge is a hidden door that enters a large pantry space. We turned their original front living room into a study by relocating and adding doors for privacy. We achieved the goal of a gathering space with a 10 ft island with plenty of room for seating. Warm wood tones in the hood, butcher block and hardware play well with the cool tones of the cabinetry.
