Sanjeeb and April’s Naperville Kitchen Remodel

With family in mind, this couple wanted to make their new home work for them and their growing family. Making decisions and finalizing selections was the most challenging part, as these homeowners were fun and open to numerous ideas! In the end, we collaborated with these homeowners to come up with a fabulous kitchen that was subtle in color, paid homage to traditional styling, and incorporated an improved appliance layout. This appliance layout did include a Subzero refrigerator which was one of the most important upgrades for this kitchen! More specifically, we changed the kitchen flooring from from marble tile to hardwood. This matched with the family room to make the 1st floor more cohesive and continuous. Plus, it helped to warm up the space and ground the room. We did keep tile in the mudroom off of the kitchen, as that was an area for their furry babies. We enlarged the doorway into the family room and encased with some decorative trim, which was also added to the other doorways and pass-throughs. This added the traditional elements that April was so hoping would warm up the space and make more homey. Furthermore, we added seating to the island and pendant lights for character. Overall, we achieved a traditional, warm, homey yet modern look for this family, and they will be able to enjoy this space for years to come!
