This kitchen was dull, dark, and dated. The goal was to make the space feel larger without removing any walls or drastically changing the layout. The homeowner loves farmhouse style, so we incorporated a custom shiplap island, with a fun patterned backsplash tile and light blue cabinetry to the space. We didn’t’ want to overpower the room with blue, so breaking up the cabinets with a soft white was essential. The cement style pendants over the island have a hint of blue that tie the space together perfectly. Black hardware and fixtures add to the farmhouse look of this kitchen. The family can now enjoy hosting guests in their new space!
