The Story

About This Space

The Westhaven living room was conceived as part of a continuous open-concept environment, where the design language established in the kitchen carries through without interruption. Rift White Oak elements, defined by their vertical grain and Tatami stain, provide a consistent visual rhythm that links the living room to the surrounding spaces. This continuity ensures the room feels integrated rather than independent, reinforcing the architectural clarity of the home.

DuChateau Sirocco wood flooring anchors the living room, extending seamlessly from the kitchen and dining areas. Its warm tone grounds the space while maintaining the minimalist palette, allowing the flooring to act as a unifying layer across the entire main level. The uninterrupted surface strengthens the sense of flow and openness that defines the layout.

Material restraint plays a central role in shaping the living room’s atmosphere. Rather than introducing contrasting finishes, the design relies on repetition of natural materials to create depth and interest. Rift White Oak continues to provide warmth and texture, while the absence of excessive ornamentation allows proportion and light to define the space.

The result is a living room that feels calm, intentional, and connected. It supports both quiet daily use and larger gatherings, offering a setting where the simplicity of materials elevates the overall experience. Every element contributes to a cohesive vision rooted in balance, warmth, and refined minimalism.
