About This Space
The Westhaven kitchen was designed as a study in balance, where warmth and restraint meet in a carefully edited material palette. Rift White Oak cabinetry with a vertical grain match establishes the foundation, bringing a quiet rhythm to the space through its linear texture and Tatami stain. The effect is organic yet controlled, allowing the cabinetry to feel architectural rather than decorative.
MSI Calacatta Castana quartz carries across the perimeter and island, its soft veining introducing movement without disrupting the minimalist intent. The 2 cm profile, paired with mitered edges at the coffee station, gives the countertops a tailored presence that reads substantial without excess.
Hardware and fixtures introduce a subtle layer of contrast. Art & Forge Hague pulls in acrylic and satin brass bring a refined touch to the cabinetry, while Brizo’s Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Luxe Gold faucets elevate the sink and coffee bar into design moments rather than purely functional zones.
The kitchen’s supporting elements reinforce this sense of cohesion. A Franke Maris undermount sink in Polar White integrates seamlessly into the quartz surface, maintaining visual continuity, while DuChateau Sirocco wood flooring grounds the space with a warm, natural tone underfoot.
At the coffee bar, white oak fluted paneling introduces texture in a controlled way, creating a focal point that feels intentional but not overpowering. The result is a kitchen that feels calm, elevated and deeply livable, where every material choice contributes to a unified minimalist vision.
