The HIS Bath at Our Watkins Creek Remodel

The HIS bath in the Watkins Creek home shares the home's design language but not its temperament. Where the primary bath is warm and restorative and the HER bath is soft and welcoming, the HIS bath is bold, confident, and unapologetically direct. It is the most distinctly characterized room in the project, and it earns that distinction through material specificity rather than decoration.

Paint-grade cabinetry in Dune with a Dull Rubbed Varnish finish and Metro Recessed MDF panel doors sets the room's neutral foundation. Dune is a warm white-grey tone that recedes correctly against the room's tile and fixture program. UV plywood interior construction ensures the cabinet boxes perform in a humid environment without compromise. Mikado Calacatta Tree quartz at the countertop provides continuity with the home's other baths through a shared countertop surface that reads differently in this context: here the bold veining reads against a neutral background and dark fixtures rather than warm wood, and it is more dramatic for it.

The sink wall is clad in Daltile Mythology Olympus Glossy 4 x 12 tile in a vertical staggered pattern. Olympus Glossy has a warm, cloud-like pattern with soft grey movement on a white ground. Its glossy finish reflects light and gives the sink wall presence without introducing a competing palette. The Zellige Charcoal Chabone tiles, available in both star-shaped Matte and cross-shaped Gloss formats, appear as the accent: a traditional Moroccan star-and-cross geometric pattern in deep charcoal that gives the room its defining visual moment. The interplay between Matte and Gloss finishes within the same dark tile creates subtle surface texture that rewards the close-range viewing that a bathroom naturally provides.

Delta Matte Black shower fixtures and Delta Saylor faucet in Matte Black complete every water point in the room. Atlas Zanzibar Warm Brass Brown Leather hardware at the cabinetry introduces the one warm metallic note in an otherwise cool and dark room, a decision that keeps the space from reading as severe. The Sterling Ensemble tub provides a functional soaking option in a profile that stays correctly in the background behind the room's tile-forward character.
