The Guest Bath at Our Westhaven Contemporary Remodel

The guest bath in the Westhaven home belongs fully to the same material language as the kitchen and the living room: Alder Nutmeg cabinetry, Mikado Siberia White Leathered quartz and Hansgrohe Matte Black at every fixture. A guest who uses this bathroom and then walks through the kitchen recognizes they are in the same home. That recognition is the measure of a whole-home remodel done well.

Alder Nutmeg cabinetry at the vanity provides the warm wood tone that anchors the room against its dark fixture program. Mikado Siberia White Leathered quartz on the countertop brings the leathered surface quality from the kitchen into the bath: a material that rewards the close proximity a bathroom provides. The texture is apparent at arm's length in a way that polished quartz is not, and it gives the vanity counter a quality that reads as genuinely premium.

Every water point in the room shares the same Hansgrohe Matte Black finish, from the single hole lavatory faucet to the Pulsify handheld on its slidebar and the thermostatic volume control trims. The ALFI Matte Black shower system provides the primary shower fixture. Kohler Matte Irvine Black toilet handle maintains the Matte Black program at every hardware point in the room. Native Trails drain assembly completes the sink installation in a quality-matched fitting.

Paint White Ret Porcelain 12 x 24 on the shower walls provides a clean white field that keeps the enclosure bright and allows the Matte Black fixtures to read as the room's primary design statement. Verona Gray 12 x 24 porcelain with Mapei Timberwolf grout on the floor provides the cool, grounded base that the room's warm wood and dark fixtures require. Silver Mist Honed 2 x 2 hex limestone on the shower floor introduces the one natural stone material in a room built on engineered surfaces: an organic note that makes the shower enclosure feel more finished, not less.
