About This Space
The Wilson kitchen was a room that worked in the most functional sense and communicated nothing beyond that. It had a layout. It had cabinetry. It did not have a design identity worth spending time in.
The transitional-bold brief gave that identity its shape. On the perimeter, paint-grade cabinetry in Stone provides a warm, grounded foundation. The tall wall cabinets shift to Bunker Hill Black, introducing the bold contrast that gives the kitchen its defining tension: light and dark in deliberate conversation at the vertical axis of the room. The island, butler's pantry, and hood cabinetry are built in White Oak with a Champagne stain, bringing natural wood grain and warmth to the room's center without softening the contrast that defines it.
Two Q-Quartz surfaces serve different roles and different parts of the room. Soapstone Metropolis on the kitchen perimeter and butler's pantry provides a cool, dense surface tone that grounds the room and pairs cleanly with the Stone cabinetry. Calacatta Monaco on the island introduces veining and movement at the place where people gather, the surface that gets looked at most. The distinction between the two surfaces is subtle and intentional: function informs the material choice, not the other way around.
The fixture program was built around Delta Broderick in Champagne Bronze, a finish that bridges the warmth of the White Oak and the cool restraint of the Soapstone countertops. The main faucet, pot filler, and prep sink faucet are all from the same collection, creating continuity across the three water points in the kitchen. The Blanco Vinterra apron front sink in white anchors the main workspace. The Blanco Performa bar sink at the prep station keeps the cooking and entertaining zones functionally independent.
Hardware from Top Knobs in Honey/Bronze appears at every cabinet and drawer, reinforcing the warmth at close range and carrying the Champagne Bronze finish language down to the most frequently touched surfaces in the room. The Riad White ceramic tile backsplash, 4 x 4 field tile from Tile Shop, keeps the wall surface clean and light between the two competing tones of the cabinetry. The kitchen that replaced the original is one a family can grow into rather than out of.

Common Questions
Questions Homeowners Ask About This Space
What makes a transitional-bold kitchen design?
Transitional-bold design layers the warmth and material quality of traditional cabinetry against deliberate, high-contrast elements. In a kitchen, this typically means a light perimeter cabinet finish anchored by a dark tone, natural wood at the island or focal cabinetry, and stone surfaces with real visual movement. The contrast is intentional, not accidental.
How does Sebring Design Build handle a multi-room remodel?
Sebring treats multi-room projects as coordinated families, not sequential jobs. Material selections across the kitchen, primary bath, and laundry room are made together so finishes connect without matching. One team, one contract, and materials ordered before construction begins protect both the design and the timeline.
What is Q-Quartz Soapstone Metropolis?
Q-Quartz Soapstone Metropolis is an engineered quartz surface with the cool, dense tonality of natural soapstone and the consistency of quartz. It pairs exceptionally well with White Oak cabinetry and warm bronze hardware, providing a grounded, sophisticated countertop surface that wears well in high-use kitchen environments.
