The Powder Room at Our Transitional Elegant Remodel

A powder room that guests talk about is not designed by accident. In this home, the powder room was designed with the explicit intention of being the room that no one who visits forgets. It accomplishes this through a material program built entirely around brass, gold and white: a palette with the confidence to commit fully rather than hedging toward the universal.

The Restoration Hardware Hudson vanity in Aged Brass is the room's structural anchor. The Hudson's open-frame washstand silhouette positions it as furniture in a room where built-in cabinetry would read as too expected. Aged Brass has the warmth of antique metalwork without the yellow cast of bright gold: it reads as collected and considered, the kind of finish that improves with proximity. CaesarStone Frosty Carrina polished quartz on the top provides the clean, bright countertop surface that the Aged Brass base and the Gold wallpaper above need to breathe.

The Brizo Invari widespread faucet in Luxe Gold connects the vanity to the room's broader metallic identity at the most-handled fixture in the room. Invari's architectural handles and precise proportions give it the presence that a statement powder room requires at eye level. The Serena and Lily Feather Wallpaper in Gold covers the wall above the wainscoting in a pattern with genuine warmth and an organic, painterly quality. The feather motif is delicate rather than heavy and introduces movement into a room that has precise geometry everywhere else.

White wainscoting below the wallpaper anchors the room in a clean, traditionally referenced material that connects the powder room to the home's overall transitional-elegant language without constraining the wallpaper's personality above it. The result is the room guests will mention when they leave.
