The Kitchen at Our Brentwood Transitional Elegant Remodel

The Brentwood kitchen arrived as a space that was already generous in scale: the footprint was there, the ceiling height was there, and the opportunity to build something that a household of serious cooks and committed hosts could rely on for a decade was fully present. What it needed was a design program equal to that opportunity.

CWP cabinetry in a Classic Square Recessed door profile with Drop Radius Edge provides both the perimeter and island in two finishes that establish the room's tonal range. Fawn Brindle on the perimeter is a warm, clay-adjacent neutral that reads as grounded and traditionally refined: the kind of color that anchors a room without closing it. Walnut with Praline Stain on the island introduces the room's warmth in its most deliberate form: natural wood grain in a rich, caramel-toned stain that makes the island the room's material anchor as much as its functional one. The Drop Radius Edge on the door profile is the detail that elevates Classic Square Recessed from contemporary-transitional to traditionally crafted: a small radius at the door's inner corners that reads as artisan-quality construction at close range.

CaesarStone Statuario Nuvo quartz in a honed finish covers the countertops. Statuario Nuvo's bold, dramatic veining on a white ground is one of the most statement-forward quartz surfaces in the CaesarStone line, and the honed finish softens its presence without muting its movement. The horizontal surfaces become the room's most visible material after the cabinetry and they earn that visibility. Daltile Argyle in a 3 x 4 polished marble-look format tiles the backsplash: small, precise, and luminous. At this scale the tile reads as a continuous surface of reflected light, contributing to the brightness that a kitchen with dark and warm cabinetry needs to stay inviting throughout the day.

The Kohler Artifacts collection in Vibrant Polished Nickel appears at both the sink faucet and the pot filler at the cooking wall, coordinating every water point in the kitchen in a single warm metallic finish. The Elkay Quartz Luxe White sink provides a basin with the clean surface quality of quartz composite. Belwith Keeler Trellis pulls and knobs in Elusive Golden Nickel complete the cabinetry hardware in a finish that bridges the Polished Nickel fixtures and the Walnut Praline stain on the island. A large custom hood with sconces serves as the kitchen's focal point, anchoring the cooking wall with an architectural presence that communicates the room's design priority from the first moment of entry.
