About This Space
The original primary bath had a kind of unintentional grandeur that did not serve the person using it. A large built-in bathtub with columns. A heavy vanity footprint. Mixed textures and finishes that competed rather than collaborated. The space was technically generous and practically uninspiring.
The remodel's central goal was calm. A primary bath should feel like the beginning of the day at its best, not like a room you simply move through. Every material decision was made to serve that standard.
Alder cabinetry from Custom Wood Products in a Flint Hills finish brings warmth at eye level without adding visual weight. The vanity space was reimagined with a layout that supports how two people actually use a bathroom together rather than working around each other. Calacatta Gold quartz from Mikado introduces the same natural veining found in the kitchen, creating material continuity between the most-used rooms in the home.
The tile selections were chosen as a layered system. Adobe Silver Versailles porcelain tiles on the floor with Mapei Warm Gray grout provide a quiet, textured foundation. Noor White Matte porcelain in the shower creates a clean, light surround. Tommas Carrara ceramic wall tile by Kelli Fontana introduces a subtle surface pattern that reads as considered without demanding attention. All three tile selections work together because they were chosen together.
Kohler fixtures throughout in Champagne Bronze carry the finish language from the kitchen and guest bath into this most personal space. The bath that emerged is a room worthy of an unhurried morning.

Common Questions
Questions Homeowners Ask About This Space
How long does a primary bath remodel take?
A full primary bath remodel typically takes 6 to 10 weeks from construction start. Sebring Design Build orders all materials before construction begins, protecting the timeline and reducing the most common source of delays on bathroom projects.
What tile works best in a coastal-elegant primary bath?
Layered tile selections work best: a soft, textured floor tile for grounded warmth, a clean matte porcelain in the shower for light and ease of maintenance, and a subtle ceramic accent tile on the wall for depth. All three should be chosen as a system with coordinated grout colors.
