The Story

About This Space

The guest bath is the room that tells visitors what a home thinks of them. Before the remodel, this Willowsprings guest bath communicated very little. A basic bathtub. Beige walls. Fixtures that worked and nothing more. An architectural archway that could have been a feature but felt disconnected from everything around it.

The redesign embraced a bright, airy foundation. White and neutral tones across cabinetry, countertops, and tile create a clean atmosphere that feels welcoming on arrival and easy to maintain over time. The archway was integrated into the design rather than treated as an obstacle, giving the room a distinctive character that the previous design had never captured.

Craftsman Square cabinetry in Alder with a Flint Hills finish brings the warmth of natural wood into a palette that might otherwise feel too light. Calacatta Gold quartz countertops from Mikado introduce the same material found in the kitchen and primary bath, connecting the guest bath to the rest of the home without requiring the visitor to notice why. Kohler Stryke fixtures in Champagne Bronze complete the room at the places where guests interact with the space most directly: the faucet, the hardware, the details.

Polished porcelain tile in a 4 x 12 format reflects light without making the room feel clinical. The combination of soft cabinetry tones, natural stone countertops, and warm bronze fixtures produces a guest bath that visitors will compliment and homeowners will be proud to offer.

Common Questions

Questions Homeowners Ask About This Space

How do you design a guest bath that feels elevated without being overdone?

The most reliable approach is to commit to a clean, light palette and invest in the fixtures and countertop material rather than dramatic tile. Warm-toned cabinetry, natural stone countertops with movement, and consistent bronze or nickel hardware create a polished result that feels considered without requiring a maximalist statement.

Can a guest bath and primary bath share the same design aesthetic?

Yes, and it is worth doing intentionally. When a guest bath carries the same countertop material, fixture finish, and cabinetry tone as the primary bath, it reads as a designed home rather than a house with mismatched rooms. Calacatta Gold quartz and Champagne Bronze fixtures work as a system across multiple spaces.
