The Story

About This Space

The primary bath came to Sebring Design Build as a room waiting to become something more than functional. The transitional-elegant direction gave it that aspiration, and every selection was made to support a bath that earns its title as a retreat.

Metro Recessed Solid Wood White Oak cabinetry in a Sage stain sets the tone from the moment the door opens. The recessed profile keeps the lines clean. The solid wood construction and White Oak grain give the vanity presence that paint-grade cabinetry cannot match. Sage is a stain that walks the line between warm and cool without committing too firmly to either, which is precisely what a transitional design language requires of its anchor material.

Cambria Brittanicca Warm quartz on the countertop extends the material continuity from the kitchen into the most personal space in the home. The same quartz surface, read in a different room and a different finish context, ties the two spaces together quietly. It is the kind of detail that homeowners feel before they articulate it.

The MTI Andrea soaking tub establishes the room's aspiration. A primary bath without a worthy soaking tub is a bath without a focal point. The Andrea's clean, gently curved profile reads as timeless rather than stylized, which means it will still feel right in this room a decade from now. It is positioned to be the first thing seen when entering and the last thing left behind on an unhurried morning.

The tile system was assembled to support rather than compete with the warmth above it. Dolomiti Satin 12 x 24 porcelain on the floor and tub wall provides a quiet, refined surface with enough tonal variation to feel natural without demanding attention. Greige 12 x 24 porcelain on the shower side walls keeps the enclosure light and clean. Cobble Sterling Megamix on the shower floor introduces texture and warmth underfoot where it is most directly experienced.

The Delta Trinsic faucet and Kohler Verticyl sink complete the vanity. Trinsic's cylindrical geometry is one of the most reliable transitional faucet profiles available: it reads as contemporary without reading as cold, which is exactly what this bath requires at the surface level.

Common Questions

Questions Homeowners Ask About This Space

What makes a primary bath feel transitional-elegant?

A transitional-elegant primary bath balances natural material warmth with clean, restrained geometry. White Oak cabinetry in a warm stain, natural-movement quartz countertops, a soaking tub as the room's focal point, and a layered tile system with a clear visual hierarchy achieve the combination. No single element overpowers the others; the whole reads as composed.

What is the MTI Andrea soaking tub?

The MTI Andrea is a freestanding acrylic soaking tub with clean, gently curved lines that sit comfortably in a transitional design language. It provides a generous soaking depth suitable for a primary bath designed as a genuine retreat rather than a functional minimum. Its profile works with both contemporary and classic architectural contexts.

Why use Zellige in the kitchen and Dolomiti tile in the bath?

Different spaces deserve different tile sensibilities. The kitchen benefits from Zellige's handcrafted, reflective energy. The primary bath rewards a quieter, more continuous tile surface that supports relaxation. Dolomiti Satin porcelain in a 12 x 24 format provides the clean, refined ground that a bath designed for restoration requires.
