The Laundry Room at Our Brentwood Transitional Functional Remodel

A laundry room that looks like it was designed rather than installed is one of the small details that makes a home feel complete. In this Brentwood project, the laundry room received the same material attention as any bath or kitchen in the portfolio: a strong cabinetry color, a quality countertop, hardware worth noticing, and tile that earns its place on both the wall and the floor.

Paint-grade cabinetry in Puget Sound with marginal overlay construction sets the room's identity from the moment you enter. Puget Sound is a muted, dusky blue-green that reads as both restrained and deliberate: it is not a color that hedges, and in a room where the cabinetry is the primary visible surface, that commitment to color pays back immediately. The marginal overlay profile keeps the door geometry clean and lets the color do the work.

CaesarStone Palm Shade 515 from the Outdoor Series with a honed finish provides the workspace countertop. Palm Shade's warm, sandy tone connects the cool Puget Sound cabinetry to the warm Honey Bronze hardware above it, providing the tonal bridge that gives the room its coherence.
