Sebring Design Build transformed this Brentwood kitchen with a modern-coastal design built on two-tone cabinetry in Soft White and Midnight, warm Alder wood accents in Tatami, Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo countertops, and a curated hardware system in Matte Black and Modern Brushed Gold. The result is a kitchen that is calm, considered, and genuinely beautiful.

About This Space
The kitchen that arrived at Sebring Design Build had a footprint and a layout. What it did not have was a direction. The modern-coastal brief provided that direction, and every material decision from that point was made to serve it.
Two-tone cabinetry is the most visible expression of the design. Soft White paint-grade cabinetry on the wall cabinets keeps the upper portion of the kitchen open and luminous, a quality essential to the coastal sensibility. Midnight paint-grade cabinetry on the base cabinets and island introduces presence and contrast at the working level of the room, grounding it without closing it in. The combination creates a kitchen that has a clear point of view without requiring drama to sustain it.
The fridge wall cabinetry and the hood ribbon were built in Alder with a Tatami finish. The natural wood grain introduces warmth and organic texture at the room's focal point, the place the eye goes first. This is what distinguishes modern-coastal from simply modern: not a design principle applied mechanically, but a material decision that makes the room feel like it belongs to someone who knows what they want.
Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo in a polished finish delivers a countertop surface with the movement and clarity of natural stone at a consistency that holds up to daily use. Epic Apuano porcelain tile in a 3 x 12 field format with Mapei Avalanche grout lines the backsplash in a surface that reflects light cleanly and reads as refined from every angle in the room.
The hardware and fixture program was assembled as a deliberate system. Berenson Subtle Surge pulls in Modern Brushed Gold appear at every cabinet and drawer on the Midnight base, introducing a warm metallic note that prevents the dark finish from reading as cold. The Moen Sleek pulldown faucet in Matte Black and the Kohler Buckley single bowl sink complete the workspace in a finish that feels current without chasing any particular moment. The before photographs show what the kitchen was. The after photographs show what it always had the potential to be.

Common Questions
Questions Homeowners Ask About This Space
What is a modern-coastal kitchen design aesthetic?
Modern-coastal design combines clean, contemporary lines with a light, airy palette and organic material warmth. Two-tone cabinetry, natural stone or quartz countertops with soft movement, warm wood accents, and fixtures in matte black or brushed gold are the hallmarks. The result feels relaxed and refined rather than stark or predictable.
How long does a kitchen remodel take in Brentwood, TN?
A full kitchen remodel in Brentwood typically takes 8 to 12 weeks from construction start. Sebring Design Build orders all materials before construction begins, protecting the timeline and eliminating the most common source of project delays.

A design-build firm brings your designer and builder under one roof and one contract. Design decisions are reconciled against the real budget before construction starts, materials are ordered before demolition begins, and one team is accountable for the entire outcome. That is what eliminates the budget surprises and delays that separate a stressful remodel from a calm one.
