About This Space
The Brentwood basement arrived with the potential to be the best room in the home and none of the materials to get it there. An unfinished or under-finished lower level in a home of this quality is a missed opportunity, and the homeowners recognized it. What they wanted was a floor that made the case for itself: a space with a bar that was always ready to host, a wine cellar with genuine presence, and a design language that felt as considered as every room above it.
Bellmont 1600 Synchro cabinetry in the Terra door style and Coastal finish provides the perimeter base cabinets with a textured laminate surface that reads as warm and organic: the grain and tonal variation of natural wood without its vulnerability in a below-grade environment. Coastal is a driftwood-adjacent tone, neither white nor brown, that reads as contemporary in a way that does not date. The wine cabinetry, built from Bellmont's 1900 line in a Seaside door style and Olympic finish, provides the wine storage its own visual identity within the space: a complementary but distinct cabinetry program that designates the wine cellar as a room within the room.
Cambria Blackpool quartz in a matte finish covers the countertops throughout. Blackpool is one of the most dramatic countertop choices in the Cambria line: a deep jet-black surface with fine white veining that reads as rich and grounded rather than showy. The matte finish makes it absorb light rather than reflect it, which is the correct quality for a basement bar designed to be used in the evening under ambient lighting rather than in daylight. Amerock Bar Pulls in Matte Black carry the dark, restrained hardware tone across every door and drawer, connecting the Blackpool countertops to the cabinetry hardware in a single continuous metallic note.
The basement that resulted is a floor the household descends into with intention. The bar is always ready. The wine cellar earns its presence. Every evening can be an occasion. That is what this room was built to do.

Common Questions
Questions Homeowners Ask About This Space
What is Bellmont Cabinetry 1600 Synchro Collection?
Bellmont's 1600 Synchro Collection is a full-access frameless cabinetry line with textured laminate door options that replicate the warmth and grain of natural wood without the maintenance demands of real wood veneer in a basement environment. The Terra door style in a Coastal finish reads as a warm, driftwood-toned surface: organic and refined in equal measure. It is a cabinet selection that suits a basement bar designed to feel collected rather than contractor-built.
What is Cambria Blackpool quartz?
Cambria Blackpool is a deep, dramatic quartz with a jet-black ground and subtle white veining. In a matte finish, it reads as rich and grounded rather than reflective: a surface that absorbs light rather than bouncing it, which suits a basement bar designed for evening use and ambient lighting. Paired with Coastal cabinetry and Matte Black hardware, Blackpool provides the room's darkest material tone and anchors the entire palette.
